Walkin' the Plank at ORANGE LEAF

Monroe Cutie-Pie Pirate
Gold Coins of Savings

Captain Jack Sparrow's GOT NOTHING on Orange Leaf!  Our customers celebrated National Talk like a Pirate Day this Monday, September 19th at ALL our locations around the state of Louisiana. Our Guests received savings from 1 oz to 5 oz OFF their Freaux-Yeaux if they "Talked like a Pirate"!  We even had a Pirate Speak CHEAT SHEET in case they had a lapse of memory in Pirate terminology.  Pretty much, if you drop all your "G's" and "V's"and Ne'er speak of anything in the present tense, you will have it down pat!  Double adjectives are always an added bonus as well.

The BEST DRESSED Pirate
A Little Sulphur Pirate
Even the SMALLEST of Pirates had a BLAST on this fun special day!  Some took their pic with our Pirate Face-in-the-Hole in New Iberia!  It was a big hit!  In Sulphur, guests came dressed to impress in their own eyepatches, pirate hats, and wench costumes!  In Monroe, ARRRGH was the favorite word of the day, along with the Black Pirate Balloons!  From beginning to end, National Talk like a Pirate Day was a BLAST, and believe us, it won't be our LAST!

Friday Night Lights

High School football is back BABY!  The Friday night lights on football fields around the state of Louisiana are a welcomed sight, especially when coupled with LATE NIGHT FREAUX-YEAUX!  In Monroe, Orange Leaf is already open until 11PM to service Late Night Football Fans on Friday nights, but in New Iberia and Sulphur, OLYLA has moved back the closed date 1hour to 11pm on Friday HOME game nights!  Fans are taking advantage of this extra hour and coming in with their school colors after their games....it makes for a "FUN" Friday night!

Also this week, our Orange Leaf Pom Pons were distributed at different High Schools in Monroe, West Monroe, Sulphur, and New Iberia.  They boast each schools colors with a handle featuring a 20% OFF coupon that each fan can bring in during the 2011 football season to receive their savings!  What a DEAL!  Team Spirit and Football Freaux-Yeaux....what more can you ask for?  If you didn't receive yours yet, be on the lookout....they are still being distributed to cheer your home team on to VICTORY!

Where were you when the world stopped turning 10 years ago?

Sunday is a day some families go to church, a day for relaxation, a day for reflection on your upcoming week events to come and the memories of the week that just passed.  Today, though, is no ordinary Sunday.  It marks the 10th anniversary of "the day the world stopped turning", September 11, 2001.  Where were you? At your office working?  At school?  In an airport?  Do you remember exactly how you felt?  While those feelings of vulnerability, anger, rage, hatred, and sadness have lingered for the past 10 years, healing has begun with forgiveness.  Forgiveness in this instance seems an insurmountable feat.  Yet, it is happening all around us allowing survivors to go on with their life to share their story of endurance, compassion, and will to make our country a safer place to live.

Today is September 11th.   We will never forget!  Orange Leaf LA

It's ALL about the COMING SPOONS!

The Orange Leaf Louisiana Team has been traveling ALL over the state the last couple of weeks to check on the progress of our FIVE up and coming Orange Leaf Locations in West Monroe, Mandeville, Natchitoches, Lake Charles, and Houma.

West Monroe Building Rendition

Our West Monroe site is in building construction mode, and it was very exciting to see a lot of progress being made on the building that will house Orange Leaf, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, and GameStop at 207 Thomas Road.  With a location .2 miles off I-20 and being right next to a Chick-Fil-A,  the Orange Leaf in West Monroe will open with all the ingredients that should prove to be one of the most successful stores in the Orange Leaf franchise.

Rendition of Sign in Mandeville

Mandeville is next on the visit list.  With a location in the shopping center next to the ever-popular Rousses Supermarket, the Orange Leaf Mandeville location at 3441 East Causeway Approach is located at the corner of the shopping center and will have LOTS of room for outdoor seating.  It's unique floor plan will offer some room for different elements in the design.  Mandeville is not new to the frozen yogurt scene, but when they get a taste of Orange Leaf Freaux-Yeaux, there will only be one on their list!

Natchitoches Sign "Let the Sun Shine in"

The SIGN went up in Natchitoches this week, which is always an exciting step in the opening process.  Our Natchitoches facebook page is over 700 strong already, so it was ALL abuzz with comments and excitement over the outside developments! It is located at 929 Keyser Avenue, in the Walmart Shopping Center.

Lake Charles Sign Rendition
Lake Charles was next on the tour and can we say how excited we are for this store to open?  Never before have we had a facebook page take off so strong and grow so fast.  Again, with a location by a Chick-Fil-A on Nelson Road, the Lake Charles Orange Leaf will have a shot at taking a seat by the top earners in the franchise.  Word-of-Mouth from our already opened Sulphur location has added to the excitement.  Lake Charles will also be the FIRST in our OLYLA family to sport the new LOGO on its outdoor sign.

Houma Store Front
Houma was visited on the tour as well, for measurements and window dressings to let everyone know how to FIND US ON FACEBOOK!  With New Iberia only an hour away, Orange Leaf is not an entirely NEW concept, which is good.  Our reputation proceeds us! Outstanding Freaux-Yeaux....with great music and a smile!  The Houma store is located at 1826 Martin Luther King Blvd, and will also have the opportunity to receive the NEW Logo for its sign!

So, the next couple of months are going to be a little busy in our Orange Leaf World!  But, we don't mind, it's FUN and oh so YUMMY!
